Elm Creek Park Reserve
With 4,900 acres, you’ll find plenty of trails for hiking, biking, and horseback riding. During the summer, visit the swim pond with a sand beach. Bring your friends and play the 18-hole Disc Golf Course. Reserve a camper cabin that can house up to eight people. During the winter, rent a tube and speed down a 10-story high snow-covered hill. You can also ski and snowboard down a hill that’s slanted perfectly for beginners.
Eagle Lake Regional Park
Visit this 230-acre park located near the Plymouth and Maple Grove border. Biking, hiking, canoeing, kayaking, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing are a few examples of the activities available at Eagle Lake Regional Park. Within this park is the Eagle Lake Youth Golf Center, perfect for beginner and experienced golfers. In the winter, those who own fat tire mountain bikes can access multi-use trails with a cross-country annual or daily ski pass.
Fish Lake Regional Park
Fish Lake Regional Park is the ideal place for water lovers. Come here for boating, fishing, swimming, and paddling, as well as ice fishing in the wintertime. A paved trail is available for bicyclists and connects to Medicine Lake Regional Trail. A hiking trail Dogs are welcome, either off-leash at the 6.7 fenced acre dog park or on-leash on 3 miles of paved trails.
Central Park
Take a stroll along the .83-mile trail that loops around the storm pond, connecting to miles of other Maple Grove trails. Keep on walking to circle around Arbor Lake, North Arbor Lake, and West Arbor Lake. An interactive fountain with 49 jet sprays and 18 arching sprays is a great way for your children to cool down. Come after dark to watch a light show, courtesy of the fountain’s LED lights. During the winter, the park features an 810-foot-wide and 20-foot-tall ice-skating loop and the Phenow Pavilion warming house.
