St Paul’s Lowertown Arts District shines in the twice-yearly Art Crawl, thanks to the Saint Paul Art Collective that’s always here!

So, plan to make the Art Crawl in the Spring…or create your own crawl, with these tips.

Seasonal Sightseeing

When in Lowertown, refresh yourself at the Black Dog Café. A daytime art gallery and a wine bar after dark, this is a haven for Lowertown jazz and blues musicians. And now that you’ve found your base…

  • Visit Lowertown’s famous AZ Gallery. Browse or shop to enrich the artists and your Lowertown condo’s interior.
  • If you’re looking to buy a Lowertown condo, visit Union Depot. Inducted into the National Register of Historic Places in 1974, it now comprises 33 beautiful units. Enjoy your own parking space in St Paul’s art hub. Take the Green Line to all points in the Twin Cities.
  • December 2 is the Grand Reopening of the Minnesota Museum of American Art, in the building designed by Cass Gilbert, who also designed the U.S. Supreme Court building.
  • Mark your calendar for Lowertown First Fridays, when galleries open up to the public. Cooks, musicians, and strolling entertainers join in the festivities.
  • When summer draws near, check for Music in Mears. Plan your visit to Mears Park together with a look at the exposed-brick, authentic loft interiors at River Park Lofts on Wacouta Street.

St Paul’s Arts District: Come Visit. Come to Stay.

Would you love to live here? We’ll show you around the condos and lofts for sale. Lot 270 has a contemporary, arty feel. And be sure to see Market House, a renovated 1902 building with vaulted, thick wood beam ceilings up to 20’ feet high.

Consider the Great Northern Historic Riverside Lofts, in a refurbished 1888 building. Amazing historic features endure—fireplaces reaching to the vaulted ceilings, arched windows, city vistas.

Your downtown St Paul Shannon Lindstrom, Realtor with RE/MAX Results can take you home—to the Lowertown Arts District.
