The downtown area is divided into two neighborhoods; downtown east and downtown west. The residential real estate in the downtown east location is anywhere from historic warehouse lofts to modern condos. The downtown west residential real estate opportunities are from modern-traditional high-rise to mid-rise condos to historic warehouse lofts.

The Minneapolis neighborhood within a short distance of the center of downtown is the North Loop, Riverfront District, Loring Park, Stevens Square/Loring Heights and also Elliott Park.
